Located on Oneida Indian Nation homelands, the Shako:wi Cultural Center invites visitors into a hand-crafted white-pine log building that reflects centuries of tradition. Inside, exhibits trace Oneida history from their alliance with General George Washington during the Revolutionary War to the Nation’s ongoing cultural and community revitalization. Artifacts, stories, and teachings—including the significance of Wampum—offer a grounded introduction to Oneida identity, language, and place.
