Shane Pinard Future Fisherman Foundation
The Shane Pinard Future Fishermen’s Foundation was created in memory of Shane Pinard, a young man whose love of fishing started along the canal and grew into a lifelong passion for sharing the sport with others. Co-founded by his family, the organization gives children and teens in grades K–12 the chance to learn about fishing through free monthly outings, classes, and tournaments. More experienced anglers have the opportunity to join the foundation’s Junior Anglers program and cast their reels alongside experienced fisherman on the lake. Inspired by Shane’s dream to start a youth fishing program, the foundation carries his legacy forward by helping the next generation experience the excitement of a catch and the joy of time spent outdoors together.
